I stood there, laughing uncontrollably at the sight of this latest engineering feat of Glen Eira Clowncil. How many brains does it take to properly install a doggy drinking fountain and a drain? Well at Glen Eira it must take many, many Einsteins if this is the result of their work! Yes, folks, our rates are literally down the drain. Who oversees this? There is also one of these fountains at the top of Alnutt Park - but it has been installed correctly. I would love to know which was installed first! Did they realise their mistake & not bother to fix the one in your photo? Or could they have installed one correctly & then come up with the effort in your photo? Surely not.
Beech, the one in allnutt park is also wrong. The drain is too close to the bowl so that when the water is tipped out, it runs onto the surrounding area forming a mud bath. So far in the past 4 months, there have been three lots of earth deposited (to no avail)and this week, there has been another load of sand. Wouldn't it simply have been cheaper and a real solution to the problem to MOVE EITHER THE HOUSING OR THE DRAIN. Again, one must think that glen eira is running an idiots' convention with all these stuff ups!
